Wedding Bells-a-Ringing...
A
special friend and co-worker is getting married this Saturday and of
course I had to make a wedding card to share in their joyous occasion.
Here's the card I made for her & future husband.
This also
made me think about how close Spring is and all the happy and joyous
occasions ahead. Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, graduations and of
course weddings & new babies. Whew, I need to get busy. Don't you
just love sharing these special occasions in such a special way. Most
people treasure something that was made just for them especially on
occasions as special as these. Thinking of these special timse help me
look past the cold chill of winter and realize Spring is just around the
corner...Yay! More later...

Coloring with Copics...
A
while back I did some practice coloring with my Copic markers and
really enjoyed it but I never featured any of my coloring on a card.
So, finally here are a few images I colored and made up cards to
showcase them.
This one was another one from my "one sheet wonder" set.
And, this one was in my last post as part of my "one sheet wonder" set so I accomplished two techniques on these two cards. This one however is my favorite of the set mainly because I love the combo colors of black, white & red.
I
actually have both Copic and a few Spectrum Noir markers. Sometimes I
use them together because of my limited colors in my Copic collection.
The Spectrum Noir markers do fill the gap somewhat but I have to say I
enjoy using my Copic markers the best, I like the intensity and
true-ness (is that a word?) of the color and I think they blend really
well. In the Copics I plan on getting the missing colors in the family
groups that I use the most. Well that's all for now, more soon.

A Little Play Time...
I finally had some time to play in my craft room this weekend. I wanted to try my hand at creating some cards from the “one sheet wonder” ideas that I’ve seen a lot online lately. I am addicted to Pinterest by the way and I’ve seen several pins showing this concept, here are some examples click here. I usually like to add a little something extra to my cards so this was a little bit of a challenge. Here are a few of what I came up with trying the one sheet wonder technique, the black & white polka dots are from the sheet that I used as my base.
I hand colored this rose card with my copics markers and this is my first time featuring my copic coloring on a card.
The simpler versions seem to have a little something missing, but I do really like clean and simple sometimes. I think I can squeeze out two more with the remaining cuts I have left. This was a fun attempt and I plan on working on this concept more soon. I think it’s a great way to do card sets and quickie cards in a pinch.
I have more to show later this week and I’ll soon have another great announcement!!
So stay tuned…LOL!
Happy Crafting!
