My sister-in-law just had total knee replacement surgery.  So, I made her this card...

This is my first time using my Spellbinder, I LOVE MY SPELLBINDER.  I still have lots to learn but I get lots of inspiration by checking in on you all,  I'm learning so much.    Take care, more later....

Collecting Tools & supplies...

I'm so excited, I've been collecting a few tools to do my card making.  Of course every good craftsman need the right tools right?  Well, here's what I've been collecting...

I just love what I've seen other do with the Spellbinder & I just had to have it. I LOVE THE SPELLBINDER and so glad I broke down and got it.  So, I've been shopping on Ebay & Overstocked.com (Overstocked has great prices on paper crafting stuff) for my Spellbinder machine & the dies.  I've come across some really good deals.  Some items as much as 50% OFF.  I've gotten the Cuttlebug folders on Ebay & Michaels using 40-50% off and most of the stamps I got from Michaels & AC Moore on sale of with a coupon usually 50% off.  Now to practice. practice, practice.  I still have things I want to get but it will come with time, just keeping my eyes open for sales.

So stay tuned, I hope to join in on some challenges and get some holiday cards done.  So, more later...

The Beginning...

This is my first post for this blog.  I just recently started card-making and I'm loving it more and more. Let me tell you, I fell in love with this new hobby and I fell hard.   I've been wanting to try paper crafts for quite some time so I finally gave in to the urge.   Here are a few of my first cards...

This one is the very first card I made,  at this point I only had paper, scissors and glue, it was for my son's birthday.  My son is an artist and though this card is pretty elementary he loved it and was really glad I decided to get into card-making.

These were for co-workers birthdays & they loved them.

So, finally here I got some punches & found the beautiful paper.  Improvement already, huh?

The insides I just printed on the computer on card stock.

This is one my son asked me to make for a co-worker of his that was leaving and moving to the east coast. She loved it, he asked that I leave the inside blank so everyone could sign it.

So this is just the beginning for me.  I just ordered a "Spellbinder" machine and some of the dies, I can't wait for it to get here.  I'm gathering more supplies & I'm trying to learn a different technique each time I make a card.  So, wish me luck, more later....

Happy Scrappin'!
